Inventory Count, blind counts
Why? (Why not?)

What is a blind count?

A Blind count is a count where the person doing the count is not allowed to see what the SYSTEM thinks the count is. So in our system, we hide 3 fields if you choose, in the preferences, blind count, and we show those 3 if you choose 'not' blind count.

Why blind count?

It is generally consider best industry practice to do blind counts. This avoids bias by having the counters look at the current number and then say 'yeah'. Or, if there was a mistake last time where a box on the top shelf was missed, they count the easy to reach ones, see the number is the same or close to the expected number, and never look further to find the other box that was also missed the last time.
