Accruent MC bug image exists

Update 2026.03.30

A week ago we started to support and install the MC 2025.2 upgrade that we got from Accruent in early 2026.

Today our internal testers found this bug and our dev team figured a way to work around the bug. Update 2026.04.01: We have updated all our MC 2025 customers with the required asp patches (as well as all new upgrades)

We have reported this to Accruent.

What's it all about?

When running with MC 2025, when adding an image

It doesn't matter if you upload a photo or take a photo.

The difference is, if you upload a photo, you have the option to Overwrite Existing file. With 'take a photo' this bug blocks you. You need to take a photo, save it to disk, then choose the Overwrite Existing file option.

It is not a bug in MC 2022

This bug is present when running in the browser and when running in the "Desktop App for MC" as it can't be intercepted and fixed by the app. However, it IS fixed by the patch we created so customers using our installer shouldn't see it in the browser or in the app.
