Before we get into the core licenses:
Here is a set of MCe licenses almost everyone will have/want. You may have fewer, you likely have more, you may have Concurrent instead of Named.
Starting from the bottom:
Basic User Login this
This license decides who can log into the system. If they can't log in, nothing else matters. If they can log in, if set up typically, there is nothing much they can do. There is no limit - see it says 60 of infinite, this license is 'included' when you buy any charged MCe license or if you have MCe because of other support/SMA reasons.
Exception: On a new system, anyone who can log in can also go to the Access Manager tools - which lets you change who can use the Access Manager tools as well as all the other licenses.
Access Manager
This license decides who can log into the system. If they can't log in, nothing else matters. If they can log in, if set up typically, there is nothing much they can do. There is no limit - see it says 60 of infinite, this license is 'included' when you buy any charged MCe license or if you have MCe because of other support/SMA reasons.
Exception: On a new system, anyone who can log in can also go to the Access Manager tools - which lets you change who can use the Access Manager tools as well as all the other licenses.
To be clear: To access the Access Manager tool, you need TWO licenses approved for your use: Basic User Login and the Access manager.
If you don't have access to the Access Manager, you need need to find someone who does and have them grant your access.
If EVERYONE in your company loses access to Access Manager, it's almost as bad as if everyone in the company loses access to a server (id/password). But not quite. If you still have access to the SQL server our Professional services (15 minutes cost only) can grant 'everyone' access and then you can fix it.

Other modules:
Server admin requires 1 paid licenses, but then everyone can do it. In our '1st steps for admins' we walk you through locking it down so only administrators who should have access have that level of access. But 'chicken and egg' to start with everyone has to have access so that someone can decide who should have access.
MCe Advanced Report Writer
Many advanced features including: Multiple datasets, access to APIs to pull data in, code level changes
Available as a named license.
ICLight
aka ICLite, For inventory counters. (Administrators apply the count using their Admin license)
It is light as in it makes the work light for the counters, and flexible for administrators to decide which features are appropriate for their team.
Available as a named license typically.
DataHub
License that allows you to import, file based, from other systems
Available as an 'Enterprise'
LoginHub
Lots of special features for identity providers
This is a suite of licenses, mostly enterprise.
Ai
AIAI GERALD
Gives you access to AI with our AI engines.
Available as an enterprise license.
For why the acronym GERLAD specifically see: Why "Gerald"?
AIAI Generic
Gives you access to AI with YOUR AI. This could be truly your own AI that you build and run, or it could be AI engines that you have subscribed to with API level access so you don't want to use ours or a mix of both. Different AI engines do different tasks better, hence the 'engines'.
Available as an enterprise license.
Text, Voice & WhatsApp messages Plan

Mapping/GIS
Map/GIS ESRIGIS
This is for users of the Mapping/GIS; Features for mapping and ESRI GIS as well as OpenStreet Maps, Google etc.., At the risk of over simplifying: If you care about where you are going (the roads) you are talking mapping. If you care what the roads are made of (layers of clay, gravel, tar, asphalt etc..,) and what is under and above them (water lines, electric lines, sewer lines, gas lines) then you are talking GIS
Map/GISGIS
This is for users of the Mapping/GIS; Features for mapping/GIS with OpenStreet Maps, Google, etc..,
If you he the ESRI, you do NOT need this one.
Map/GISGIS admin
Tools for mapping to data sources such as ESRI/ArcGIS (GIS), Google (Mapping), Open Streets (Mapping) and others
If you have Map/GIS ESRI or Map/GIS you need this as well

Legacy
Maintenance Connection LDAP
There was a time, many years ago, when Maintenance Connection LoginHub only worked with LDAP. And so … it was called 'LDAP'. But for most of it's life, it has been called 'LoginHub' as it handles far more than just LDAP.
Maintenance Connection Everywhere Tablet Hybrid
We are reaching end of life on Tablet Hybrid. As of mid 2019, only one customer has not upgraded to the MCe HTML family of products and they are planning to upgrade 'soon.' The modern version of MCe now provides all the functionality of Tablet Hybrid.
Maintenance Connection Everywhere PocketPC
Often called 'PocketPC Technician' reached end of life and we stopped supporting it when the last customer switched over to the modern version of MCe
Maintenance Connection Everywhere Blackberry eMail
While this was tested and worked on many devices, as far as we know, everyone who bought this only used it on Blackberry, quite simply because, if you had ANY other device, even the Windows Phone when it existed, you were better off running our modern MCe product family.
Maintenance Connection Mobile
This was before we labeled them "MCe" or "Maintenance Connection Everywhere". It was eventually renamed "Maintenance Connection PalmPilot"
Where it all got started! We sold this product from 2003 until PalmPilot went out of business. Worked on PalmPilots and several clones. We have ALWAYS worked 'offline'!
While we stopped selling it when PalmPilot when out of business, we didn't stop supporting this product until our last customer in about 2015 had their last PalmPilot physically die, a ski resort in Canada if anyone cares, so they switched over to our modern MCe. Essentially the customer liked it and saw no reason to buy new hardware as long as it did it's job. The PalmPilots were more 'rugged' than many modern phones are, and they worked well in the cold environment of a ski hill. Fortunately there are modern phones that can handle the abuse as well. But this is where Maintenance Connection Canada's dream started with Maintenance Connection Inc. back in 2003. This product launched under the new (then) name back around November 2003.
Asset Pro CMMS & Asset Pro Mobile
Before we had even heard of the company Maintenance Connection Inc. we had our product line 'Asset Pro CMMS' and 'Asset Pro Mobile', we had Asset Pro CMMS and Asset Pro Mobile. These products started development a f ew years before they launched publicly around March 2003. At Maintenance Connection's request in 2003 the Mobile was rebranded "Maintenance Connection Mobile" when it became compatible with then then product Maintenance Connection. Both products eventually became known under the "Maintenance Connection Everywhere" name around 2005 where they have stayed until the present. Both were compatible by the end of 2003 with Maintenance Connection and have stayed companions until this day. (Statement last verified March 2026.) Anyone who used Asset Pro CMMS now uses MCe Admin1, and anyone who used Asset Pro Mobile today either uses MCe WO1N or the more powerful product MCe WO4N or WO4C - most use MCe WO4C. It is lost in the annuls of time when we sold the last MCe WO1N - likely around 2008, and we believe everyone has upgraded to the WO4 products.
All the products that started with a lower case n or c.
Such as nWO41 nWO42 ... this short lived naming convention caused too much confusion, so they were all renamed n meant 'normal' not named and the numbers had a cryptic meaning. nWO41 became WO4n (named) and nWO42 became WO4c (concurrent). A rose by any other name.
